Cloudy Friday - Showers Saturday
Moist air is returning to our region Thursday night. Look for mostly cloudy skies for Friday and Friday night. A dryline and cold front are forecast to march through our region Saturday and bring a band of showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Showers should start in our western areas Saturday morning and end up in the Heartland Saturday afternoon. Rain amounts are not expected to exceed one half of an inch. Skies should clear from west to east behind the showers.
That clearing should be short lived as mostly cloudy skies are expected for Saturday night and much of Sunday as a trailing disturbance moves through.
Temperatures will remain above normal through Saturday. Look for highs in the low 70s both days. Colder temperatures will be back for Saturday night.
Low temperatures Sunday morning should be in the 30s with highs Sunday afternoon in the 50s.
It's time change weekend. We switch to daylight saving time at 2 A.M. Sunday morning. So, you will need to set your clocks AHEAD one hour before you go to bed Saturday night (or at 2 A.M. Sunday morning if you are awake).
