Cool, wet weather in store this week
Showers and cooler weather are on tap for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Before we get there, though, more warm weather is on the way. Look for clear skies to start your Monday with temperatures in the low 50s. We'll warm into the low 80s by the afternoon. Look for an increase in cloud cover during the afternoon with a chance for showers over the western Big Country.
An approaching cold front will bring about a 40% chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms Monday night. We'll see temps cooling into the upper 50s and low 60s.
Tuesday, the rain chances continue as an upper level disturbance nears the area as well. Highs will warm into the upper 60s before a cold front moves through during the late afternoon to cool us down.
A cooler night is on tap Tuesday night with a 50% chance of scattered showers, some of which could be heavy. We'll cool to around 40 degrees.
By Wednesday afternoon the rain chances are still at 40% as the storm system crosses the state. We'll warm to around 50 degrees. The disturbance will be moving to our east beginning Wednesday night, taking our rain chances with it.
Thursday starts out in the upper 30s. We'll see the storms and the clouds clearing out during the morning with highs warming into the low 60s.
By Friday, we'll see highs inching back into the 80s and we'll stay there through the weekend ahead. Look for nighttime temps cooling into the upper 50s.
