ABILENE, Texas -

Dr. Allen Bolt, an Abilene veterinarian, brought along his bulldog to KTXS This Morning on Thursday to talk about keeping your dog cool in the summer.

As the summer heats up, it is important to watch out for signs of heat stroke or heat exhaustion in your dog. Bolt shared some symptoms to watch for.

June 22 is also Take Your Dog To Work Day. Bolt suggests making sure your dog, and your boss, and are prepared for a dog day at the office before bringing in your fuzzy friend.

Dr. Allen Bolt works at the Animal Health & Medical Center. He enjoys taking Norm the bulldog to work with him often.
