Anthony Domol: Tracking storms late Tuesday
Today we are tracking partly to mostly cloudy skies across all of West Texas with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm developing later in the afternoon.
Most areas will stay dry through the daylight hours of Tuesday however. High temperatures will be near 80 degrees with a breezy south wind rolling in at 15-25 mph.
Tonight thunderstorm chances start to increase later in the evening under mainly cloudy skies. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will sweep across the area into the overnight and on into Wednesday.
An isolated stronger to even severe cell is possible with hail, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. We will be monitoring the latest radar trends.
Lows on Tuesday night will be in the upper 60s. Highs on Wednesday look to reach the mid to upper 70s.
Rainfall will taper from west to east on Wednesday evening with mostly cloudy conditions. Clouds should begin to decrease as we move toward Thursday morning. Lows will drop into the upper 50s.
Mostly sunny skies are expected on Halloween with readings in the lower to middle 70s. Chilly temperatures will be falling through the lower 60s during trick or treating hours. Dry conditions will prevail.
The Friday through Sunday time period is shaping up mainly sunny and seasonable with highs in the low to mid 70s and lows in the mid to upper 40s to near 50 degrees. We may be tracking renewed shower chances by next Monday.
