CHS football standout accused of sexually assaulting girl likely placed in disciplinary education program
According to district policy, a Cooper High School football stand out accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl has to be placed in the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP).
For legal reasons, Abilene Independent School District officials cannot confirm whether 18-year-old Cordell Dorsey is still attending classes at Cooper High; however, they confirmed Wednesday he has been suspended from the football team.
According to district policy, students charged with conduct such as aggravated robbery or a felony listed under Title 5 of the Texas Penal Code (when the conduct occurred off of school property and not at any school-related event) are subject to DAEP placement.
