Murray rallies to make Wimbledon semifinal
Andy Murray completed his seventh career comeback from two sets down Wednesday, rallying for a 4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, 7-5 victory over Fernando Verdasco to make the Wimbledon semifinals for the fifth straight time.
Second-seeded Murray is trying to become the first British man to win Wimbledon in 77 years. But he got pushed around by the 54th-ranked Verdasco, who served six aces in winning the first two sets.
Murray rebounded and still has a chance to make his second straight final. He'll play 24th-seeded Jerzy Janowicz of Poland on Friday in the semifinals.
The other semifinal pits No. 1 Novak Djokovic against No. 8 Juan Martin del Potro, both straight-set winners earlier in the day.
