A frustrated basketball dad in Oregon crosses the line, posting on Facebook that he hoped someone "shoots up" an opposing school.

The man, identified as a parent of a Skyview High School player, posted the Facebook status update sometime after the evening game last week, Portland TV station KATU reported.

"Camas fans!!!!! Worst in the league!!!!" the 39-year-old man wrote. "I hope someone shoots up their school really soon!!!!!!!!!!"

The post apparently followed a confrontation between the man and a group of students as he was leaving the Camas High School gym, Josh Gibson, the Camas School District's athletic director, told The Oregonion.

Notified by the school district, police investigated but decided not to file criminal charges.

Gibson told KATU the comments were especially alarming in light of the Newtown, Conn., school massacre.

"I think when you look at the things that have been going on recently with shootings, I think that it’s just unfortunate that a comment like that is thrown out," he said. "There’s an emotional response to it."
