DALLAS, Texas -

Police say a 10-year-old boy was shot during a domestic disturbance at a home in the Forest Hill section of Dallas.

The boy was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg/hip area at Cook Children's Medical Center.
Police arrested the man involved in the disturbance, who they said fired the gunshot. They were not sure if he is the boy's father or stepfather.
The man, whose identity hasn't been released, has been charged with aggravated assault and family violence with bodily injury.
