The Department of Public Safety seized thousands of dollars worth of drugs during a Nolan County traffic stop Wednesday.
A state trooper contacted a driver for a traffic violation around 3:15 p.m. on Highway 84 near Roscoe and called a canine unit to search the driver's 2013 Nissan Altima.
According to DPS, 16 packages of methamphetamine, weighing almost a pound and valued at $36,000, were discovered. In addition to the meth, two packages of cocaine were also located.
The investigation is ongoing and the driver's name has not been released. The drugs will be transported from Lubbock to Abilene.
