ABILENE, Texas -

The 52 people stranded outside the Abilene Greyhound bus station early this morning are now back on the road again.

KTXS received a call from a concerned family member of a deserted passenger.

Passengers said that the bus driver arrived at the station, got off the bus and into the passenger side of another vehicle.

The bus was traveling from El Paso to Dallas. KTXS has attempted to reach a Greyhound spokesman, but have been unsuccessful. According to passengers who have made a number of calls, the transit company said a new driver will arrive around 8 a.m and take the passengers to the Dallas station.

We will continue to update this story as the information becomes available.
