ABILENE, Texas -

At least six adults and two juveniles have been questioned as Abilene police seek information about Monday's bank robbery at the Citibank on South 14th Street.

Assistant Police Chief Doug Wrenn said the questioning did not lead to a suspect – and that the investigation continues.

Around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Abilene police and SWAT took in at least eight "persons of interest" at a residence off of South 7th Street, just west of Barrow.

Authorities say they received a reliable tip. The tip led them to obtain a warrant based on probable cause to question the individuals. A SWAT team was called in as a precaution.

Wrenn stressed those taken in for questioning this morning do not face charges, but that authorities hope information obtained from the interviews will lead to an arrest.

Police report the suspect, as captured in surveillance video at Citibank, is a white man in either his 20s or 30s. He is described as slender and 6 feet tall and was wearing a brown cap and dark suit during the robbery.
