Texas Mission of Mercy
ABILENE, Texas -

In just two short days, hundreds of thousands of dollars in dental care was donated to people who desperately needed it at the Abilene Civic Center.

The Texas Dental Association coordinated the Mission of Mercy in Abilene on Friday and Saturday. Volunteer dentists and staff cleaned, filled and pulled teeth completely free of charge for people who otherwise would not have been able to afford those procedures.

On Monday, a TDA spokesman said 851 people were served in the two-day period and $601,193 in dental care was donated.
