ABILENE, Texas -

Police Officers debuted their police unity truck outside of the Texas Roadhouse in Abilene.

It's a part of their tribute to fallen officers. A few of the officers were also a part of a group called, "We Ride for Justice." The group will take a trip in May to Hanover, New Jersey and then ride 300 miles to Washington, D.C. Once in D.C. they will visit the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Judicial Square.

People who sponsored the trip were at the restaurant for the unveiling of the truck. The bike ride has a $1,750 entry.

"These funds go to keep up the national law enforcement memorial which is a list of names you see behind me here that are killed in the line if duty that they can research back to," said Officer Joshua Ward.

As many as 1,500 riders will participate in the trip.
