Brown County has new heater ordered for cold jail wing
The Brown County Jail ordered a heater for the "b" wing on Friday.
Last week, Sheriff Bobby Grubbs told Brown County Commissioners the heater in wing b of the jail had broke and needed replaced.
Commissioners were unable to move forward that day because the item was not on the agenda.
However, because Judge Ray West said it was an emergency agenda item, the jail could go ahead and order a heater.
Monday, Brown County Commissioners approved the $12, 259 purchase in their meeting.
The heater will take 5 to 7 days to be installed.
