Businesses in Brownwood are being asked to show their Lion pride.
The Brownwood Lions Mothers' Club is asking local businesses to decorate the windows on their business to support the Lions football team.
"We just want to support the Brownwood Lion football team, and we want to join the community in that support," said Suzanne Faircloth, assisted living admissions coordinator at the Chatfield.
"We have so many residents that go to the games every Friday, and just want to stay involved," said Lacie Henry, director of rehab at Oak Ridge Manor.
All local businesses are invited to decorate their windows in Lion attire for a contest.
Henry said this is their way of giving support back to the Lions football team who supports them.
"They came in August and had dinner with us, and they adopted our residents, and they still come back on a weekly basis and spend time with their adopted grandparent," said Henry.
"The boys come and bring us pictures, bring their girlfriends, we enjoy that a lot, I do," said Betty George, Oak Ridge Manor resident.
Faircloth said community support is important to their staff and residents at the Chatfield.
"There are residents, staff, or their children have or are a Brownwood Lion, and once a Lion, always a Brownwood Lion," said Faircloth.
A plaque will be presented to the winning business at the last football game of the regular season.
