FAA reviewing proposed Abilene air traffic control changes

The Federal Aviation Administration is going to review its proposal to move some Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) facilities from Abilene Regional Airport.
For more than a year, the FAA has been planning to move approach air traffic controller operations out of Abilene to DFW. The move would also mean the loss of a couple jobs.
U.S. Rep. Randy Neugebauer, R-Lubbock, said the FAA has informed him that they will conduct a more methodical review of the proposal. As a result, the proposed move may be on hold for now.
