ABILENE, Texas -

Friday Hendrick Medical Center honored a family that has been a part of the Abilene medical community for more than 80 years. They unveiled two sculptures in memory of Dr. W.V. Ramsey, Sr., and his son, Dr. W.V. Ramsey, Jr.

His son Jack Ramsey, MD, and his wife Joy, dedicated a dove sculpture to honor Jack's father, Dr. W.V. Ramsey, Sr., and his mother, Marie Ramsey.

Dr. Ramsey, Sr. served as the Hendrick Medical Center Chief of Staff in 1941. They practiced medicine together until Dr. W.V. senior's death in 1996.
