LEFORS, Texas (AP) -

Authorities say preliminary autopsy results show a 42-year-old woman found dead at a home in a small Panhandle town had been strangled.
Trooper Daniel Hawthorne of the Texas Department of Public Safety said the body of Kristi Dawn Slatten was found Tuesday. Her body was found by Gray County sheriff's deputies responding to a 911 call in reference to the home in Lefors, located about 70 miles northeast of Amarillo.
Hawthorne released the preliminary autopsy results Wednesday.
No charges have been filed in connection with her death.
About two hours after Slatten's body was found, two men were stopped about 40 miles outside of Lefors in her vehicle. The driver was arrested on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The passenger was arrested on unrelated charges.
