Rain totals: Many Big Country locations have received more than one inch since Tuesday

ABILENE, Texas -

Rain and thundershowers returned to the southern half of our region Tuesday and spread into the northern sections Wednesday.  Many locations picked up at least one inch of rain during the two-day period.

Some rain event totals from late Wednesday night:

Scranton (SW of Cisco) - 2.2"

Brady - 2.01"

Brownwood airport - 1.93"

Brownwood downtown - 1.80"

Albany - 1.39"

Ivey Reservoir - 1.23"

Abilene Regional Airport - 1.13"

Coleman airport - 1.12"

Breckenridge - 1.12"

Aspermont - 1.12"

Hawley - 1.09"

Hamby - 1.01"

San Angelo Mathis Field - 1.00"

Hamlin - .9"

Dyess AFB - .89"

Sweetwater Avenger Field - .79"

Look for clearing skies from south to north Thursday with high temperatures back in the 50s.
