If you or someone you know needs a place to go during the cold weather, the Salvation Army can help.
This time of year they see an increase in people who need to use their facilities. Their doors are open to give assistance and resources to those less fortunate.
In addition to shelter, they help families get clothes to stay warm. Their beds fill up fast, but they make room for everyone.
Salvation Army of Abilene Commanding Officer James Parrish said, "In cold weather they don't get charged for anything. They just get to stay, because it's cold outside."
