ABILENE, Texas -

The students involved in an alleged hazing incident at Wylie High School will not face charges.

On Tuesday,  Taylor County District Attorney James Eidson told KTXS News he is declining to prosecute the case.

KTXS first brought you this story on Sept. 7. A Crime Stoppers tip about some Wylie football players taking part in alleged hazing in the locker room sparked the investigation.

Abilene Police interviewed more than 30 people with five suspects being named. Their names weren't released because they are juveniles. They did not make any arrests. No parents or students wished for charges to be filed. The police department forwarded its findings to the District Attorney's Office for a decision to be made.

Eidson said the school district handled the matter appropriately.

This puts an end to the investigation.
