An Abilene man and woman were indicted Thursday for allegedly assaulting a Walmart employee and escaping the store in a robbery.
According to court records, 25-year-old Tanina Barley and 22-year-old Rebecca Rau were arrested in May for allegedly stealing from the store.
A loss prevention employee detained the pair in an office; however, 25-year-old Zachery Rau allegedly helped them escape. In the process, Tanina and Zachery allegedly assaulted the employee.
Police said the trio got away from the store but were later apprehended.
Tanina and Zachery were indicted on robbery charges Thursday; however, a Taylor County grand jury chose not to indict Rebecca.
