Abilene woman murdered while holding infant son laid to rest

An Abilene woman, recently murdered while holding her 2-week-odl child, was laid to rest Tuesday.
Makayla "Kayla" Bunting, 22, was remembered at a service at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Bunting died last Wednesday after allegedly being shot in the head by the father of her two children. The man, 23-year-old Chevayae “Magic” Johnson, faces first-degree murder charges.
Bunting's infant son was also injured after being shot in the hand. He was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.
