Alleged drunk driver threatens to kill Abilene police officer

ABILENE, Texas -

An alleged drunk driver is charged with retaliation for allegedly threatening to kill an Abilene police officer.

According to police, 23-year-old Micheal Wilkerson was caught driving drunk down North 10th Street just after midnight Saturday. He allegedly admitted he drank five beers and smoked marijuana.

Once arrested, Wilkerson allegedly threatened to assault and kill the officer if he saw him on the streets after being released from jail.

Wilkerson was booked into the Taylor County Jail for third degree felony retaliation, class B driving while intoxicated and class B driving while license invalid with a prior conviction and suspended license. According to jail records, Wilkerson posted his $12,250 total bond within 24 hours of his arrest.
