A traffic stop in Brownwood leads to a drug arrest.
On Tuesday, an officer pulled over 24-year-old Christopher Morris on HWY 67 W/CR 176 for having a defective license plate lamp. The suspect reportedly resisted arrest and had to be taken to the ground in order for the officer to be able to handcuff him.
The officer said Morris also lied "about where he was going, who he was going to see, and who the vehicle belonged to".
Morris admitted to having narcotics on his body. In the report, the officer said he found "seven baggies of methamphetamine on [the suspect's] person as well as numerous new empty baggies commonly used for the packaging and distribution of methamphetamine." The bags contained slightly more than 1 gram of meth.
