City of Abilene offers free after-school program

ABILENE, Texas -

The city of Abilene's Recreation Division is providing a free after-school program for residents.

ABILENE, Texas - The City of Abilene Recreation Division is providing a free after-school program for City of Abilene residents. The program will be held at Rose Park Recreation Center, Cobb Recreation Center, Cesar Chavez South Park Recreation Center, Sears Recreation Center and G.V. Daniels Recreation Center. 

The after-school program is free and open to children ages 6 to 13.  Program hours are Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.  To register your child, please visit the Recreation Center of your choice and complete the required forms.  Parents may enroll their child at any time. 

Staff will be available to assist with homework, plan organized gym games, lead arts and crafts projects, schedule field trips, and more.
