Authorities confirmed Friday that remains found near Lake JB Thomas in Scurry County were those of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn. The teen was reported missing in December 2010.

COLORADO CITY, Texas -

Proceeds from a car wash in Colorado City will go to organizations that helped with the search for teen Hailey Dunn.

The car wash is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at the Dairy Queen in Colorado City.

Money raised from the event will go to Klaas Kids and Laura Recovery, two search groups who helped look for the teen shortly after she went missing.

Some of the money will also be used to create a scholarship fund in Hailey's name.

Hailey Dunn’s remains were found in March near Lake JB Thomas in Scurry County.
