Chance Dylan Garcia
COMANCHE, Texas -

Nearly two weeks after being shot by police, a 23-year-old Comanche man remains in serious condition at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

According to medical staff, Chance Dylan Garcia – who was shot by Comanche police on July 12 – is still hospitalized and in serious condition.

Just two days after the accident, Garcia’s condition improved from critical to serious condition. It hasn't improved since then.

Garcia was shot by an officer after the Comanche Police Department received a disturbance call in the early morning hours on July 12.

According to a previous press release, officers had responded to the call that stated shots had been fired at a house and that there was possibly an armed man inside the home. Officers heard gunfire upon arrival and once Comanche Police Officer J. Spohn tried to speak to Garcia, Garcia confronted the officer with a gun and the officer shot Garcia.
