Convicted felon arrested for allegedly threatening woman with stolen gun

ABILENE, Texas -

A convicted felon was arrested again Friday after allegedly pointing a gun at his girlfriend and threatening her life.

According to an arrest report, Cornelio Loredo, 38, was released from prison less than two months ago. He was arrested on Grape Street in Abilene around 12:30 a.m. after the alleged threat.

Police said the gun was stolen and Loredo also had marijuana with him when he was arrested.

As of Saturday, Loredo is in the Taylor County Jail on more than $29,000 total bond. He is charged with first degree felony aggravated assault, third degree felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, class B possession of marijuana and state jail felony theft of a firearm.
