Early ISD Superintendent Brett Koch moves on to another district
A change is right around the corner for Early ISD as the superintendent finished up his last day on the job Friday.
After nearly 10 years at the district, Early ISD Superintendent Brett Koch is resigning.
"It's difficult to be leaving but I am moving forward," said Early ISD Superintendent Brett Koch.
Koch said he is excited to start as an interim middle school principal at Marble Falls ISD this Monday.
Larry Taylor will be serving as Early ISD's interim superintendent. Taylor said his goal is to continue providing great programs for students to have a successful school year, and he is looking forward to working with the administrative team and teachers.
"I have a lot of confidence that Larry will take Early ISD to another level," Koch said. "I have a lot of positive and fond memories of Early ISD so on this last day, that's what I take with me--all the relationships I have built with our staff and students. I'm very proud of this district. I'm proud of all of the accomplishments that they have obtained throughout the 10 years I've been here."
Koch announced his resignation back in October. Originally his contract ran through Jun. 30, 2016, but he is now resigning in exchange for a lump sum payment of slightly more than $42,000.
