An El Paso man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison Wednesday for a September 2012 bank robbery.
Frank Esparza Sr., 40, pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery and one count of carrying a firearm during a crime of violence in January 2013. He was arrested in October for robbing First Bank Texas employees at gunpoint.
Esparza’s son, Frank Esparza Jr., and a juvenile were also charged for their alleged role in the robbery.
Esparza Sr. was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison in a federal courtroom in Abilene.
