SAN ANTONIO -

(AP) - Scheduled renovations of the Children's Hospital of San Antonio have gotten a boost from a $20 million donation by a foundation formed by ex-Pace picante sauce king Christopher Goldsbury.

The Goldsbury Foundation will pay out the millions over five years. The San Antonio Express-News (http://bit.ly/YcsgSa) reports the donation is the largest ever to Christus Santa Rosa Health System in its 144-year history.

The donation will go toward a new two-story lobby and entrance for the $135 million renovation program at the venerable hospital in downtown San Antonio.

Goldsbury sold Pace Foods to the Campbell Soup Co. in 1994 for $1.12 billion. He now heads Silver Ventures, an investment firm that's financing the Pearl Brewery redevelopment and numerous other San Antonio projects.
