Convocation to Bring Announcement of Exciting Campus Transformation
"When students come back, they bring vitality, life, and energy to this campus," says Hardin-Simmons University President Dr. Lanny Hall.
This year, the official opening of the school year will bring more excitement than ever as HSU goes public with a capital campaign that will drastically transform the campus in just eight years.
TRANSFORMATION 2020 is the focus of the 2013-2014 Convocation ceremony, Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. in Behrens Auditorium.
"Convocation brings a full house of students, faculty, staff, community friends, and university supporters, which make it the perfect forum for introducing an exciting new plan for new buildings, transformed outdoor spaces, and vast avenues of impressive views," says HSU president Dr. Lanny Hall.
Convocation will feature a special video presentation and recognition of the leadership behind the capital campaign that will fund new buildings, renovations, and additions to the campus as noted in a master plan already on the homepage of the HSU website.
Hall says the transformation campaign targets three main goals: to transform the campus, to transform the HSU experience, and to ultimately transform the lives of all whom Hardin-Simmons University touches.
