(AP) - A federal judge in West Texas has sentenced seven people who pleaded guilty to different drug charges stemming from a federal investigation.

The Amarillo Globe-News (http://bit.ly/1dHSu0h ) reports U.S. District Judge Mary Lou Robinson handed down prison sentences ranging from a bit more than three years to 10 years to seven people who pleaded guilty to drug trafficking and gun possession charges.

In February, federal agents announced they had arrested 13 people and seized guns, $500,000 in cash, as well as several pounds of cocaine and methamphetamine in a series of raids.

Over the course of the 2-year investigation, FBI agents used wiretaps, surveillance cameras and undercover agents to buy pounds of controlled substances from the defendants.
