For one veteran, this Veteran’s Day was a special one.
Congressman Randy Neugebauer presented a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart to Private First Class Francisco J. Loza's family Monday. Loza died in 2004, he was 85.
Loza was wounded while serving in World War II. He never received medals during his lifetime.
Loza's family said he was a humble man who never talked about the war. They said they learned a lot about his role in the war at Monday's ceremony.
