An unidentified man – who had been constantly ringing an Ovala home’s doorbell and saying “help me, somebody is trying to kill me” – was found face down bleeding from head wounds early Tuesday.
Officers arrived to find the injured man outside a residence about 4:22 a.m. in the 2500 block of County Road 134 in Ovala, according to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.
The man told authorities that he had been assaulted by two men who left with his prescription meds and wallet.
According to the sheriff’s office, the victim had been driven to the scene by a woman in a van, which was occupied by the two suspects.
