FULSHEAR, Texas (AP) -

Relatives say a burned body discovered in December by a rancher checking his property near Houston has been identified as a missing Dallas woman.
DNA was used to identify 37-year-old Adalid Aguirre Alvarez.
Fulshear police have said a rancher located the remains Dec. 17 in a rural area.
The victim's 18-year-old daughter, Josandy Alvarez, said Sunday that law enforcement officials last month notified her that the body was identified as her mother. The teen says investigators told the family they believe the victim was beaten and possibly strangled.
A message left Monday with the coroner's office wasn't immediately returned.
Fulshear is 30 miles west of Houston.
