Texas mortuary owner turns himself in to police
The co-owner of a Texas mortuary where eight decaying bodies were found has turned himself into police.
The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports Sunday that 39-year-old Dondre Johnson had jail set at $10,500 after he was processed through the Tarrant County Jail early Saturday.
Johnson's wife, 35-year-old Rachel Hardy-Johnson, was arrested Friday at her Arlington home on seven warrants.
Both are accused of treating in "an offensive manner" the remains of seven of the eight bodies found Tuesday inside the Johnson Family Mortuary.
Hardy-Johnson was released later Friday from jail after she posted bail. It remains unclear whether her husband has done the same.
It wasn't immediately clear if either of them had attorneys.
