Texas retail gasoline prices down 3 cents

Retail gasoline prices across Texas have continued to slide by dropping 3 cents per gallon this week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump settled at $2.95 per gallon. Gasoline prices nationwide also declined 3 cents this week, reaching an average $3.19 per gallon.
The association survey found the Austin-San Marcos area has the most expensive gasoline statewide at $2.97 per gallon. Drivers in Galveston are paying the least at $2.89 per gallon.
Gas prices, as of noon Thursday, had been seen as low as $2.90 per gallon.
Association spokesman Doug Shupe said Texas has one of the top 10 cheapest statewide gas price averages in the country.
