ABILENE, Texas -

Three people – including a man who reportedly ran from police – were arrested late Saturday after drugs were allegedly found.

According to an Early Police Department news release, 39-year-old Jason Allen Jobe was charged with possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest, possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence.

Two women – Chrystal Owen and Christina Mae Davis – were also arrested.

Davis was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and Owen was charged with possession of controlled substance and failure to identify.

It was also discovered that Owen was wanted in Harris County for a felony probation violation.

Law enforcement had been called to the 200 block of Early Boulevard at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday after receiving reports of a man and woman “acting strangely as if they were intoxicated or under the influence of some type of drug,” the release said.

“Jobe then began to get nervous and took off running while being questioned,” the release said, noting an officer chased Jobe “through a neighboring pasture and caught Jobe and placed him in custody.”

“While Jobe was running he was throwing things from his pocket,” the release continued, pointing out that a Brown County Sheriff’s Department sergeant located “the items thrown being marijuana and heroin.”

In the vehicle, the release said, methamphetamines, syringes and paraphernalia were found.

Officers then went to the motel room where Jobe and Owen were reportedly staying and came across Davis.

“After searching the motel room more heroin was located and Christina Davis was placed under arrest,” the release said.
