ABILENE, Texas -

An Abilene man and woman were indicted Thursday in connection to an alleged home invasion involving an elderly victim.

Christopher Webster, 39, and Dolores Salazar, 36, became suspects in the January burglary after they were allegedly spotted using the 74-year-old victim’s debit card on a local bank’s surveillance.

Police said the victim was found bound and gagged inside his home. During a police interview, Webster allegedly admitted to using rope and a phone cord to tie the victim up before putting him in a closet. Police also said Webster claimed Salazar used a stun gun on the victim before Webster tied him up.

Webster and Salazar were both indicted for first-degree felony burglary of a habitation. Salazar was also indicted on two counts of third-degree felony exploitation of an elderly individual.
