ABILENE, Texas -

A 59-year-old Abilene man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to one count of receipt of child pornography.

Steven Edward Robb now faces a sentence of five to 20 years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine and a “lifetime of supervised release,” according to a news release. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate E. Scott Frost in federal court in Abilene.

A sentencing date for Robb hasn’t been set.

U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Saldaña of the Northern District of Texas made Tuesday’s announcement.

The news release said documents show Robb, during 2013, “knowingly received two video files depicting minor females engaging in sexually explicit conduct.”

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative, which was launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice, to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
