ABILENE, Texas -

Following a week-long manhunt, 29-year-old Kenneth William Shults faces a variety of felony charges in two counties.

According to authorities, Shults was a suspect in a Sunday robbery in Taylor County and eventually led them on a high-speed car chase Tuesday night through multiple counties and committed several felonious crimes while on the run. Taylor County Sheriff’s deputies captured him Thursday afternoon at the Alamo Motel without incident.

Taylor County Jail records show Shults is charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault against a public servant and first-degree felony aggravated robbery. His bond adds up to $150,000.

Meanwhile, Shackelford County Sheriff Edward Miller said his county is pursuing a third-degree felony burglary of a habitation charge and a third-degree felony motor vehicle theft with display of a firearm charge against Shults. Miller said an aggravated assault charge could also follow.
