A 29-year-old Abilene man who allegedly tried to run over a sheriff's deputy and eluded authorities for days was indicted Thursday.
Kenneth William Shults led authorities on a multi-county, high-speed chase in February, police say.
Shults was indicted on charges that included aggravated assault on a public servant, aggravated robbery, possession of methamphetamine and evading arrest.
According to authorities, Shults was a suspect in a robbery in Taylor County and eventually led them on a high-speed car chase through multiple counties while committing several felonious crimes while on the run.
Taylor County sheriff’s deputies captured him at the Alamo Motel without incident.
