2010 Deja Vu: Munday, Hamlin renew playoff roots

Almost two years ago to this day the Hamlin Pied Pipers took a 17-9 lead into the fourth quarter against the younger Munday Moguls.
Munday’s sophomore quarterback Dee Paul capped off a 28 point charge with a 62 yard go ahead score in the fourth. The Moguls went on to win 35-19 knocked Hamlin out in the regional round.
This week each team is gearing up for their first playoff rematch since that regional round game in 2010.
They also return to the same site they met in 2010 (Wylie Bulldog stadium).
This time around the story line is much different. Hamlin is filled with sophomores and inexperience while Munday is the top ranked team in all of class 1A.
"Munday they're almost in a class by themselves,” says Hamlin head coach Russell Lucas. “You watch those guys were very familiar with them we've scrimmaged them all five years since I've been here we played them two years ago in the playoffs unfortunately that's the same group of kids they had two years ago for the most part."
"Their skills guys are really good,” says Hamlin senior quarterback Taylor Lambert. “They're fast, they're big, so we're gonna have to play hard."
"Well their quick coach Lucas always has his young men prepared,” says Munday head coach Patrick Corcoran. ”They're coached very very well both sides of the ball. They know what they're doing and they're gonna play hard."
"Their quarterback is pretty good,” says Munday senior quarterback Dee Paul. “They have a good running back, Darius Lee, he's a good athlete we just gotta get out there and contain those two guys.”
