2013 FCA All-Star Festival: Schedule and Football Coaches

ABILENE, Texas -

The Big Country Chevy Dealer's FCA All-Star Festival will be held during the Spring of 2013. The festival will be comprised of several annual athletic events as well as two brand new events which will be held on an annual basis. The events that comprise The Big Country Chevy Dealer's FCA All-Star Festival are:

April 21: All-Star Induction Banquet, Abilene Civic Center (Guest Speaker: Sonny Cumbie - Texas Tech)

May 18: Festival Awards Dinner, ACU's Teague Center (Guest Speaker: Case Keenum - Houston Texans)

June 6: 5th Annual All-Star Girls Basketball presented by Action Sports Medicine @ Brownwood Coliseum.

June 6: 1st Annual All-Star Boy's Basketball games presented by Action Sports Medicine @ Brownwood Coliseum.

June 8: 1st Annual Girl's Volleyball game presented by Abilene Regional Medical Center at ACU's Moody Coliseum.

June 8: 14th Annual Greathouse All-Star Football Classic game at Abilene's Shotwell Stadium.

With the addition of boy's basketball and girl's volleyball, over 200 student athletes and 24 coaches will take part in the events. In 2014, softball and baseball will be added and the number involved will climb to 270 students with 32 coaches.

The football game will pit representatives of the North and South sides of the Big Country against each other. The teams will be managed by one head coach and five assistants per team. The football coaching staffs are as follows:

North Football

Asst: Adam Bright of Winters

Asst: Doug Kuhlmann of S.A. Lake View

Asst: Jeff Pannell of San Saba

Asst: Frank Rausch of Clack, Abilene

Full coverage of the festival will be available on KTXS throughout the Spring. All-Star rosters have not been released but KTXS will have the latest as soon as it becomes available.
