Munday O-line
MUNDAY, Texas -

Senior captain offensive guard Logan Groves is one of three returning seniors on the offensive line that played under the bright lights of Cowboy Stadium.

Groves and the rest of the offensive line Munday's offense has rushed for over four thousand yards in 2012 making them one of the most explosive offenses in the state.

The Mogul's success roots from the chemistry that started back in middle school.

"We've been running the same scheme since we were in junior high,” says Groves. “We've been having the same technique for four years now so basically it's gotten to a fine tuned machine by the time we get to senior lineman."

This season Junior B.J. Araujo took over the starting job at center joining Groves, Mark Yzaguirre, Jerico Thompson and Xzavier Bulliner in their quest back to Cowboys Stadium.

"Last year I was on the sideline watching them it was pretty special to me cause that was my first state championship game,” says Araulo. “Watching them I knew that next year was gonna be my turn to play center and it was just awesome."

"I got a good relationship with the lineman, they're all good guys," says Senior quarterback Dee Paul.

"It's the things you don't see in the newspaper,” says Groves. “Between the offensive line and the skill players we really have a close connection with each other he (Paul) always congratulates us after the game when people come talk to him he comes and talks to us and tells us that we've done a good job that game.”

Munday faces off with Tenaha in a rematch of last year state final.

The 1A division two championship kicks off at 12:00pm at Cowboys Stadium.
