ABILENE, Texas -

The Abilene Bombers and Head Coach Joe Brannen are excited to announce the return of 6’4” 370 pound offensive lineman, Willie Bradley. Willie was a mainstay on the offensive line unit for the team in 2012.

He started every game and played every offensive snap for Abilene. Willie was a consistent force on the line that graded out in the 90% plus range week in and week out. With this signing the Bombers offensive line currently averages 6’4 and 375lbs for the 2013 season.

When asked about his return to the Abilene Bombers, Bradley added, “Obviously we fell short of our goal last year and it has motivated me to do all I can to make sure this team brings a championship to the city of Abilene.”

“I am beyond excited to have Big Willie back for the 2013 season. When quarterback play is so instrumental in the success of your team, protecting that quarterback is equally important. Willie is a phenomenal talent, and a guy that I feel has what it takes to play at the next level, he just needs his shot. I would be hard pressed to look back through the game film from last year and find a game where Willie didn’t grade out in the top tier of our performance standards. He has the mindset we look for in our offensive lineman. He

is a very tough player, as he never missed a play, and has a lot of “fight” in him. Willie is a guy that rarely gets beat by his man and if he does he will grab the defensive lineman by the facemask and pull him to the ground rather than give up a free shot on our quarterback. He is a lineman every coach would love to have and we are fortunate to have him back for another year. As good of a player as he is, he is a guy that loves to be involved in the community. He truly understands that he is in a unique position to be a positive influence to the youth of the community of Abilene, and is always the first to volunteer for community outreach activities. In addition to his commitment for the season Willie has made Abilene his home during the offseason and is enjoying being a part of the Abilene community” Commented Coach Brannen.
