DUNCAN, Okla. -

The ACU Wildcats posted a team score of 307 Monday and find themselves 15 shots off the lead after the rain-delayed first day of The Territory Classic at The Territory Country Club.

The 15 teams in the field were forced to play through heavy downpours at times on Monday. Play will resume Tuesday with the teams scheduled to play just 18 more holes.

St. Edward's leads the team race at 4-over-par 292, while Cameron and its own junior varsity are tied for second place at 304.  ACU shot a 307 over the par-72, 7,077-yard course and is tied with Incarnate Word for fourth place, two shots ahead of sixth-place Southern Nazarene.

The Hilltoppers are in first place thanks in part to Dilloin Van Essen and Andres Rodas, who are first and second, respectively, after shooting 70 and 71.  ACU's Trey Sullivan played his best round of the fall as he continues to rebound from back surgery last spring.  Sullivan shot an even-par 72 and is in third place in the individual standings.

For the Wildcats, Robert Johnson is tied for 16th at 76, followed by Corbin Renner (tied for 23rd with a 77), Hunter Rawls (tied for 50th at 82) and Kyle Kennedy (tied for 55th at 83).
