Abilene Christian junior Micah Hermsdorf defeated Teal Vosburgh of Boise State 3-6, 6-3, 10-6 to capture the women's singles sectional title of the ITA Summer Circuit at the Eager Tennis Center in Abilene.
Hermsdorf also defeated girls from Texas Tech, North Texas, North Carolina State, and Mary Hardin-Baylor en route to today's final.
Hermsdorf and her younger Kaysie, who also plays for ACU , won the doubles title in yesterday's doubles championship.
ACU hosted the 1st leg of four July tournaments in the Texas segment of the College ITA tournaments. With today's win, Hermsdorf currently leads the point standings for the Texas segment of the tournament field.
